NPU M is conducting the annual process of reviewing our bylaws, as mandated by the City of Atlanta.  A bylaws committee was formed, and it submitted a proposal for revisions at the September 23rd meeting of the General Body.  Thanks to Keith DeCay, Jim Schneider, Kit Sutherland, Matt Garbett, Matthew Jones, and Rashid Muhammad for serving on the committee.
Amendments to the Bylaws were also proposed from the floor.  As per our current bylaws, the changes were tabled until the next meeting to allow time for review. All members of NPU M are eligible to vote on the bylaws, regardless of prior attendance.  If you reside, own property, or operate a business/organization (one designated rep from the latter) in NPU M, you are eligible to vote at October’s meeting (October 28, 6:30PM).  We meet at 515 John Wesley Dobbs Avenue at the Helene S. Mills Sr. Multipurpose Senior Center.
We strongly encourage you to read the proposed changes, discuss them, and attend the October 28th meeting.  Here’s some material to help you participate — the bare essentials are in bold:
